TABURNO

Taburno

The name of Mount Taburno comes from the Oscan word “teba” or “taba”, which means “mountain”. Seen from the city of Benevento the massif of Taburno-Camposauro takes the appearance of a supine woman, with the head (Mount Pentime) towards the valley of Telese, and for this reason it is called “Samnium Sleeping Lady”.
